Alamin Ishaq is an accomplished IT and energy professional, currently serving as a Chief Product Officer at Stonetech formerly a Business Developer at Gams & Abell, and formerly as a Product Manager at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in Cairo. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, and postgraduate qualifications in STEM from the Nigerian University of Technology and Management and a Master of Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
Over the past years, Al-Amin has worked at the intersection of energy, product development and education. At Correlation One, he facilitated cloud computing courses across North America. At Afreximbank, he helped lead digital innovation efforts, including a trade advisory platform that supported over $43 billion in investment deals. And a 1 million Euro investment from France for Renewable Energy during his time at Gams and Abell.
A passionate advocate for social impact and sustainability, Alamin has spearheaded several award-winning projects, including a shaft-driven bicycle and a data driven hybrid mini-grid amongst others. He is a Hult Prize Global Finalist, ENACTUS National Champion, and winner of the Circular Lagos Research Fellowship Challenge, where he advanced digital strategies for improving plastic waste recovery in Nigeria and a recipient of both the Renewable Energy Innovation Award and the Sustainable Technology Prize.
Alamin has represented Nigeria on global platforms, including the World Youth Forum in Egypt and the World Youth Festival in Russia, where he served as an international election observer and contributed to conversations on youth leadership and sustainable development.
Certified in AWS, Oracle Generative AI, and a registered Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG) he continues to mentor young engineers and technologists. Widely known as “Aimon Alhajin Computer”, Alamin is driven by a commitment to inclusive innovation, practical education, and technology that uplifts people.
